Bugle Corps (2014), Percussion Consultant for The Ohio State University
Marching Band (2011-14), and Visual Instructor for the Colts Drum & Bugle
Corps (2016). Nick is currently the Percussion Composer/Arranger for the
Medellin Gran Banda of Medellin, Colombia, South America, where he has
served on both the percussion and visual staffs since 2014. The "MGB" is the
2014 DCI SoundSport Champion and is the first ensemble from South America
to perform in DCI. Nick is a proud member of CSJA, OMEA, PFCJ, NAfME,
ASCAP, and PAS. He holds endorsements from Vic Firth, Evans/D'Addario,
Sabian, and Black Swamp Percussion.
MUSIC GENERAL EFFECT
Greg Jasek Hometown: Crown Point, IN
Greg Jasek, Music Director of Filmharmonic Productions, earned his bachelor's
and master's degrees in music from DePaul University and Vander Cook
College in Chicago, Illinois. His post graduate studies include such music
education legends as Fredrick Fennell (Eastman School of Music), John
Paynter (Northwestern University), Daniel Lewis (UCLA), Gustav Mier and
Elizabeth Green (University of Michigan). He continued to study conducting with
Michael Morgan, then assistant conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra,
and attended Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony to study
with noted conductors such as Andre Previn, Leonard Slatkin, and Leonard
Bernstein. Mr. Jasek went on to guest conduct and teach throughout the United
States and Canada, including the International Chamber Arts Orchestra,
